Transport - How it Works

The simple act of transportation can be stressful as emotions run high. We can help. Peaceful Pet Passage can transport your companion animal from your home, the veterinary hospital, or wherever your pet may be in the Central Pennsylvania area, to our facility in Mechanicsburg for cremation or burial.

To arrange for transportation, please call 717-691-9214 during regular business hours. If your pet should pass after our regular business hours and you can keep your pet in a cool place, leave a message for us to reach out to you the next business day. We will be able to make arrangements to pick up your pet from your home during our next regular business hours or if choose to transport them to an emergency clinic, leave a message for us to reach out to you the next business day. We will be able to make arrangements to pick up your pet from the facility you specify during our next regular business hours 

Standard Protocol

Our goal is to offer reliable, compassionate care for you and your family, beginning with the initial phone call. Our employees will coordinate a pickup in our Peaceful Pet Passage vehicles which are clean, well-marked and used strictly for transporting deceased companion animals in a dignified, respectful manner.

The companion animal is placed in a soft, quilted burial shroud, and carried to the transport vehicle. Companion animals weighing more than 40 pounds are placed on a stretcher and transported to the vehicle. Each animal is placed gently inside and secured, prior to transportation to our Mechanicsburg facility for cremation services.
